White
I love white rooms; I don't have one, but I do love them. I think to have an all white room you need at least one of the following elements:
*Lots of natural light. *Architectural details. *Interesting furniture. *A splash of color. *High ceilings *and a bit of bravery.

A Floral Gift
When is a flower not a gift? Whether it is a single stem, a beautiful bouquet, or a card with a floral photo, it is a gift. My love of flowers came from my mother and watching her tend her garden. As her children left home, and she gained more time to herself, her flower garden grew to flower gardens and they were always tended to with love. It was never work for her to be out in them weeding, transplanting or hoeing the soil. A Gurneys or Burpee seed catalog arriving in the mail was a sign of spring being around the corner, and time to order new roots. Her peonies were fabulous; she had all the colors, pink, white & crimson. Iris were her other passion; she had many variety's and every fall she would dig and divide and pass the extra rhizomes on to her daughters, friends and neighbors. My flower beds today have many roots from her garden, and now I do the tending with love. Thanks Mom for passing your passion on to me.

The Laundry Room
Today I'm paying homage to the laundry room. I have posted some rather pretty and well organized rooms, any of which would make the chore of doing laundry bearable, ....ok...enjoyable.
